Rebekah, Occupational Therapist

Bekah grew up in NW Ohio where she started her career as an occupational therapy assistant in 2012.  She worked for 5 years in skilled nursing, dementia care, and in the acute hospital setting in Michigan and Ohio. She continued her education to pursue a master's degree in occupational therapy from The University of Findlay in Ohio. Her final fieldwork rotations were focused on pediatric outpatient developmental services and with adults in the felony judicial system. After graduation in 2018, she worked for 3 years specializing in assistive technology and augmentative and adapted communication (AAC) access in Kansas City where she worked at an outpatient clinic and therapeutic preschool. At the clinic, Bekah had the unique opportunity to be part of a team to develop one of the first adaptive video gaming evaluation and training clinics in the US! She also worked with Missouri Assistive Technology to train individuals who have low vision or blindness to access technology for work and everyday life. She, her husband, and two dogs (Idgie and Mowgli) later moved to Arizona in the summer of 2021. She enjoys mountain biking, Jui-jitsu, painting, going to concerts, and spending time with family and friends.
