Maria

Maria Mettler-Stephens is an Occupational Therapist originally from Indiana. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Interpersonal Communication and Psychology from Ball State University and her Master’s of Occupational Therapy from Concordia University Wisconsin.

Before pursuing her OT career, Maria worked as a cosmetologist, where she first recognized the importance of sensory regulation strategies for children—particularly during haircuts. This experience inspired her to enter the field of occupational therapy. After completing her graduate studies, Maria relocated across the country to begin her Level II Fieldwork, launching her professional journey in both neuro-rehabilitation and pediatrics.

Maria is passionate about supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting psychological and social-emotional growth, and working with clients with neurological delays. She is dedicated to fostering meaningful progress and empowering children and families through evidence-based, compassionate care.
