Daniel
Speech Language Pathologist
Daniel is originally from Los Angeles, California where he developed a keen interest in communication at an early age as he grew up with a younger brother who had childhood apraxia of speech. Furthermore, he learned Spanish and went on to study abroad in Costa Rica, volunteer in Ecuador, and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nicaragua from 2014-2016. Upon returning “home”, Daniel started working as an ABA therapist in a variety of environments- schools, home setting, and clinics while getting his post-baccalaureate degree in Communication Sciences Disorders. He then worked as an SLPA in clinics and the home setting for 2.5 years until he graduated from Arizona State University with a Masters degree in Communication Disorders in May 2024. These experiences positively influenced his approach and practice of speech therapy- combining science and art to create a friendly environment based on rapport and the child’s needs as well as their interests.
When Daniel isn’t working, he can be found running, going to the gym, hiking, reading, or planning his next adventure.
