Cheryl, Physical Therapist

Cheryl grew up in Prescott, Arizona. She graduated with a Bachelors in Physiology from the University of Arizona in 2001. Then graduated from AT Still University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2004. Cheryl is a licensed physical therapist and certified in Chronologically Controlled Developmental Theory (CCDT). Her husband James, and their 3 girls have been longtime residents of Ahwatukee. She loves the outdoors, gardening, animals, and the color green. She has practiced in pediatric, adult, geriatric and wound care settings treating clients in clinics, rehabilitation centers and home environments. Early in her professional career she developed a passion for pediatrics. Cheryl's approach is centered on helping children achieve maximal physical independence by addressing the foundational neuro-motor impairment, fostering a connection between the mind, body and spirit. Her ultimate goal is to enable children to fully participate in family life, school, recreational activities and community life. She provides a therapeutic environment which helps facilitate the repair of the child’s neuromuscular system, aiming for long-lasting sensory and motor skill achievements. She is so excited to be part of the DVPT team
