Amanda Lawson, Physical Therapist

Amanda graduated from West Texas A&M in Canyon Texas with her Bachelor in Sport and Exercise science, and then went on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Texas Tech in 2016. Since graduation she has focused her skills on pediatrics, enjoying working with children of all ages to meet milestones that allow them to be more independent through creative and fun play, taking hard work and making it enjoyable. She also strives to support and encourage parents to continue to dream even if it might look different than that initial diagnosis.  In Texas she co-created an adaptive sports league where children with different abilities can participate in sports with neurotypical peers to promote friendship, awareness and opportunities for all children regardless of skill.  She recently got certified in level 1 Cuevas Medek Exercises by Simona DiMarchi which focuses on developing antigravity extension in each child challenging the neuromuscular system to create new motor functions.

While not working, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband Thomas, and their children Jameson and Adeline.
