Staff Bio

Allison Jenkins, Physical Therapist
Allison is a Part Time Clinic Based Physical Therapist with DVPT. She received a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education in 2009 and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University in 2012. Since then she has focused her training and patient care in Pediatric, Geriatric and Orthopedic Physical Therapy. This includes treatment in the clinic, home and rehabilitation center. She has a passion for treatment of infants and young children helping to facilitate age appropriate gross motor skill development using functional movement patterns. She also combines her pediatric and orthopedic training to treat school aged children. She has a hands on approach to patient care along with a strong emphasis on family education and training. She believes in evidence based physical therapy and has completed continuing education in numerous areas to refine her skills including Torticollis, Gait Analysis, Orthotic Prescription, Toe Walking, Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT), Manual Therapy and Movement Impairment Syndromes.
In 2023 she took her first course in Dynamic Movement Intervention and is currently a Level A Certified DMI practitioner.

When not working she is busy taking care of her 4 young children. Her hobbies include running, hiking and spending time with her family.
