Mariana Millan is a bilingual (Spanish/English) licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (minor in Chemistry) from Arizona State University. She has been working with children (0-21) for 6 years and is currently primarily working with the birth to three population through the Arizona's Early Intervention Program. Mariana was born in Mexico City and has a passion for delivering culturally and linguistically appropriate services to Hispanic/Latino children and their families. She also has experience working with medically fragile children and has received training as well as pursued independent instruction in the area of feeding and swallowing disorders. She loves attending swallow studies and helping families understand the very gracefully complicated act of eating and swallowing! She is grateful to be a part of the DVPT family where the standard of care is high and she can continue to grow and learn from fellow therapists.
In her free time, Mariana can be found outside rock climbing, dirt-biking (braaaap!), or exploring new areas to find secret swimming holes. She is on a never-ending quest to find authentic mexico city style tacos Al Pastor in Arizona and loves to troll and play jokes on her 14 year old son.
